Like we say, we’ve been doing this a long time; Richard, our boss, is the third generation of his family in the business. And if it’s taught us anything, it’s that only the best will do – not simply in the ingredients we choose but in the way we do everything.

We’ve been recommended by all sorts of national publications over the years, including the Times, The Observer and Waitrose’ own food magazine – and our Verwood shop has been a finalist in the Fish & Chip Shop Of The Year, two years running. All sorts of famous people pop into our shop too – though we’ll keep to ourselves just who we see regularly.

As well as fresh food, we like fresh ideas. We’re always looking for new ways to deliver our finest food, from the latest technology to new types of service and packaging for our customers. We don’t rest on our laurels.

And, of course, we love where we live. The Dorset coast is one of the most inspiring places to sell sea food and to enjoy one of the most heart-warming traditional meals – fluffy, crispy fish and chips.
